The 7" DuraTech Roof Mount Support Kit contains all the components needed to install a 7" chimney (excluding black stove pipe and DuraTech chimney sections) straight up through a flat roof or cathedral ceiling.
This kit includes the following: (from the cap down)
7" DuraTech Rain Cap - A chimney cap is required where the pipe terminates above the roofline. This DuraTech Chimney Cap is made of stainless steel and designed to twist-lock onto the chimney pipe. Removable screws allow for the cleaning of the chimney and the spark arrestor screen. Shown with optional spark arrestor screen (sold separately).
7" DuraTech Storm Collar - The DuraTech Storm Collar is an aluminum constructed chimney component that slips around the pipe just above the flashing used in through-the-roof installations. The inner edge of the Storm Collar is sealed to the chimney pipe with a non-hardening 500-degree F high-temperature sealant.
7" DuraTech Roof Flashings - provide leak proof roof penetration. The purpose of the roof flashing is to weatherproof the roof where the chimney penetrates the roof. The flashing gets tucked under the shingles and the shingles are cut around the flashing if needed. The flashing is sealed to the roof with silicone to provide that needed seal to prevent water from getting under the flashing and getting into the attic or house, then a storm collar is placed over the flashing and sealed to the chimney pipe with a high temp silicone to prevent water from running down the chimney. There are several options to choose from depending on your requirements.
7" DuraTech Roof Mount Support - DuraTech Roof Support is designed to support the chimney and allow the chimney to pass through the roof and extend down from the ceiling. It is ideal for cathedral ceilings and free-standing fireplace installations supporting up to a maximum total chimney length of 45' and 20' below the roof support. DuraTech Roof Support is adjustable to accommodate different roof pitches.
7" DuraTech Finishing Collar with Adapter - New integrated collar with adapter, fits into the female end of the chimney pipe to provide a decorative black finish. Use on chimney pipe that is suspended with the roof support system or on a pipe that is passing through a wall thimble. Provides connection to black DVL or DuraBlack.
Optional extended roof bracket is required when your chimney extends more than 5' above the roof. It will provide stability to the chimney against wind and snow
