    General Iced Tea Brewing Instructions

    Recommended Cold Brew Method

    1. Pour 12-16 cups of water into a pitcher (depending on tea strength preference).
    2. Steep one - 1 gallon tea bag in pitcher. (For Sweet Tea - Add simple syrup. See below)
    3. Place pitcher into fridge overnight (8-12 hours).
    4. Pour over ice & serve.

    Hot Brew Method

    1. Boil 8-12 cups of water (depending on tea strength preference).
    2. Steep one - 1 gallon tea bag for 5-7 minutes in heat resistant pitcher. (Add sugar if making Sweet Tea)
    3. Top up with 4-8 cups of water/ice (16 cups = 1 gallon) & serve.

    Simple Syrup Recipe

    1. In a saucepan, combine equal parts water and granulated sugar. For example, if you're using 1 cup of water, use 1 cup of sugar. The baseline is 1 to 1 1/2 cups of sugar for 1 gallon of tea.
    2. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar completely dissolves. This usually takes about 3-5 minutes.
    3. Once the sugar has dissolved, remove the saucepan from the heat.
    4. Allow the simple syrup to cool to room temperature.
    5. Once cooled, mix into tea after the removal of the tea bag.

Store any extra simple syrup in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one month.
