U.S. Stove Efficient Freestanding Indoor Small Pellet Burning Stove - 5040

Proven design and technology come together in this beautiful pellet stove. Designed for moderately sized homes and condos, that comes with high end features such as remote thermostat hookups and simple to use control all packed into a neat little package that is perfect for smaller spaces. This Pellet stove model is approved for modular and mobile home owners as well. The digital control board has 4 heat settings and offers on/off or ultra low burn settings to give you up to 40 hours of burn time in up to an 1,800 square feet area with the 45 pound hopper. This is a classic pellet stove design that is worthy of most any space in your home. Pellet stove heaters work by using a software driven control board to precisely deliver a predetermined amount of fuel from the hopper into a burn chamber. An electric heating element, used only in startup, heats the pellets until they ignite. The combustion blower forces air through the burn chamber and once ignited, it provides an active combustion of the pellets resulting in very little ash. The exhaust and heat pass through one side of air chambers where on the other side, the variable speed room blower gathers the heat and distributes this through the room. This entire process results in a very clean burning, efficient heating machine for your home.

Affordable, Low Heat Cost for Smaller Areas

Moderately sized homes, condos, supplemental heat, modular and mobile homes

Is it cheap to run a pellet stove?

After installation of your pellet stove, you’ll need to buy the pellets to keep your stove fueled and burning - most homeowners using pellet stoves need between two and three tons of pellet fuel per year, and with pellets costing somewhere between $180 and $250 per ton, you might pay up to $750 each year for pellet fuel.

As with all home appliances, the larger and more powerful the appliance, the more it will cost. In the case of pellet stoves, size is measured in British Thermal Units, or BTUs. Pellet stoves usually come in sizes somewhere between 8,000 and 90,000 BTUs. As a rule-of-thumb, according to the Department of Energy, a pellet stove rated at 60,000 BTUs can heat an open-plan of up to 2,000 square feet.
